The short version
No accounts. No tracking cookies. No advertising. We don't sell or share your data with anyone. If you join the waitlist, we have your email address — nothing else.
What we collect
- If you just read the site: your IP address reaches our host and our rate limiter, in the ordinary course of serving a web page. We don't link it to you and we don't use it to build a profile.
- If you join the waitlist: your email address. That's it. No name, no company, nothing else.
- Analytics: aggregate page views. Umami sets no tracking cookies and collects nothing that identifies you.
Who touches it
| Service | What it does | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosting | IP addresses (server logs) |
| Upstash | API caching and rate limiting | IP addresses (to count requests) |
| Umami | Analytics | Aggregate page views; no cookies, no personal data |
| Beehiiv | The waitlist | Your email address, if you join the waitlist |
| Supabase | The database | Nothing about you. It stores the index data only. |
Why
- Analytics and rate limiting: to keep the site up and know whether anyone is reading. Aggregate only.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist, your email address is stored by Beehiiv. We are not currently sending a newsletter. When we do, you can unsubscribe from any email.
Who publishes this
Muhammad Suleiman, Linz, Austria
MachineEconomy.ai is an independent, non-commercial observatory that measures the infrastructure of the machine economy.
How long
- Your email: until you unsubscribe. Then it's gone.
- Server and rate-limit logs: short-lived, and not linked to you.
What you can ask for
A copy of what we have, or deletion. Email us and we'll do it. Unsubscribing removes your address entirely — you don't need to ask.
